Talents and gifts

 

"Everyone has talents! Once you've found yours pursue it"

 

I believe everyone has talents. God made all of us different and unique. He has given all of us different talents. He's given some of us the talent of designing, some writing, some singing or playing musical instruments, and there are so many other talents that he has given each and everyone of us. 

God made us all special. None of us our the same. We all are different. Isn't that amazing? No two people are the same. Out of the billions of people in the world there is only one you.

  I know that at times I have felt that I was useless. That I just didn't have talents and gifts like other people, but that's not true. God gave me and you certain gifts that only we possess. But he didn't give them to us just to sit around and do nothing with them. He gave us these talents to use to glorify him. 

    Many times we might not even know what are talent is. That's why we should always go out and try new things! Maybe you'll be good at something you didn't even know you liked. Discover your talents and use them.

The problem now'a'days is that sometimes people discover their talents and completely misuse them. For instance a girl might have a beautiful voice but instead of using her voice to glorify God she yearns to become popular-to become known by the world. I don't know about you but I don't want to be known by the world- I want to be known by God. Yes; of course he already knows me but I'm saying instead of pleasing the world I want to please him. As humans are first instinct when we find something good about ourself is to "show it off to the world." I mean let's be honest if your good at something you want others to see it and praise you for it. Yeah, I think we are all guilty of this. That's the trap so many actors/actresses, singers, and other famous people fall in. They wan't the world to see them and love them. We shouldn't want to show other what we can do- but what God can do.

   We wouldn't have our gifts without God giving them to us so why would we take all the credit? We are God's tools and he is the one who uses us. Not the other way around. We need to use our talents to glorify God not ourselves. Yes God made you special and yes you have great talents but we didn't get those things by ourselves. They came from him! So yes remember that you do have special talents but don't let that get to your head. Instead pursue your talents and use them in whatever way possible to please him!
