Standing Strong

Psalm 94:16 - Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

1Cor. 16:13 - Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 

In a world that's falling we must be willing and ready to stand. We must be willing to stand boldly. To stand strong. If we do not have a firm founding-a firm foundation we will fall. The people of this world build there lives on material things. Their foundation is weak and it will not keep them stable. They will fall. They have built their hopes, lives, and dreams on something that will not last. But, we have the choice to have a solid foundation. We have something far more stable and strong. 

We have Christ.

He is our rock.

  What are you standing on today? Are you standing on things of this world-entertainment, money, and technology. Or are you rooted deep into something that is sure to hold us strong through the days of adversity. We have an amazing God and we must stand on him and stand strong.

Three ways we can stand

1) Stand FIRMLY

As Christians we have a firm foundation...sometimes we just don't use it. Christ is our rock and our shield. He is a helper in the time of need, but we must be rooted in Him. In order for us to ever stand strong we need to stand firmly on the foundation of God. HE is our strength and without
 Him we would be nothing. Stop trying to lead your own life. If Christ is our rock-if he's our foundation, we will not fall. He has the power to control and direct your life. Plant yourself deep in Him. Pursue a relationship with Him before anyone or anything else. If you do not stand firm in your faith you will not stand at all.

2) Stand BOLDLY

Not only should we stand in Christ but we must stand for Christ. Stand up against the crowd and glorify Christ. Be a bold witness for Him. Don't let this world shake you and hinder you from serving God to your full ability. Be bold. Take a stand. It is better to stand alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Stand for what is right, even if you stand alone. In a world that created you to fit in, God created you to stand out and be a light.

3) Stand STRONG 

Stand in Christ. Stand for Christ. Stand with Christ. We are nothing by ourselves. Without Christ we can not do anything for Him. But if we make him our foundation; if we transfer our faith in our self to faith in Christ he can use us in amazing ways. It's like He's the master painter but we are His paintbrushes and his paint. If we allow Him to use us He can create a masterpiece through us. God is the ultimate craftsman...but he uses us to be his tools. Don't let this world knock you down. Stay strong in Him! Stand in Him firmly. Stand for Him boldly.  If we do that God will stand with us strongly. He is our strength. He is our rock. 

Joshua 1:9 - Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 

 Eph 6:10 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
